Behlke开关的主要应用：需要产生高电压快速脉冲的场合,例如：快速脉冲群发生器，泡克耳斯盒驱动器，雷达调节器等。它拥有纳秒级的的上升沿时间，能输出较大脉冲电流。它与传统的真空电子管相比，有速率高，输出阻抗低，寿命长，驱动简单，功耗小等特点。
